# IELTS speaking homework for your class

Assign Part 1, 2 and 3 tasks, let students record at home, then review every take and give your feedback.

Create a class

An example class roster showing each student’s last session and streak, and how many practised this week

## See the homework from both sides

These are real screens from Speakeroo, captured in the running app.

### Pick Part 1, 2 and 3 tasks

Filter the Speaking Test collection by exam and part, preview a cue card, and add several tasks to your class library at once.

### Assign it to the class

Put the tasks in a template, add a goal, instructions and success criteria, then assign it to the class with a due date.

Open a hand-in, read the transcript and the automatic feedback, and write your own note before you publish.

## Everything IELTS speaking homework needs

Your students practise at home. You hear every take and decide what to teach next.

### Part 1 questions

Interview questions on familiar topics, one answer at a time, for warming a class up.

### Part 2 cue cards

Cue cards with a minute to prepare and up to two minutes to speak, timed the way the test is.

### Part 3 discussion

Discussion questions that open a topic out, for students who stop at one sentence.

### Recorded at home

Students record on the web or in the app, whenever they have a quiet room.

### Clear instructions

Add a learning goal, instructions and success criteria so students know what a good take is.

### Your feedback

Read each take with its transcript, keep the feedback or write your own.

## From sign-up to your first homework in three steps

Students can accept their invites before you pay. Practice opens for them once the class is subscribed.

1

### Create a class

Name your class. You become its teacher.

2

### Invite your students

Invite your class list by email. Students accept and practise anywhere.

3

### Assign IELTS tasks

Start the free trial, pick tasks from the Speaking Test collection, and set a due date.

## Built for teachers who prepare students for the IELTS Speaking test

### IELTS preparation teachers

Between lessons every student speaks, and your class time goes to feedback instead of turn-taking.

### Prep schools and language centres

One roster for a cohort of twenty or forty, with homework due dates and one bill for the program.

### Group classes

Assign the same task to everyone and compare how each student handled it, take by take.

### Private tutors

Set the next task after you hear the last one. Students record when it suits them.

## One price per seat for the whole class

Every student gets the full app and every IELTS task. You pay per seat, and only for the students on your roster.

## Questions IELTS teachers ask first

Which IELTS tasks can I assign? You pick tasks from the Speaking Test collection: Part 1 interview questions, Part 2 cue cards with preparation and speaking time, and Part 3 discussion questions. Each follows the published format of the test and is original practice content.

How do students do the homework? They open the assignment on the web or in the Speakeroo app, read your instructions, and record each answer. Each take gets feedback on pronunciation, fluency, grammar and filler words.

What do I do with the recordings? You open each take with its recording and transcript, keep the automatic feedback or write your own, and publish it to the student.

Does Speakeroo predict a test result? No. Speakeroo gives feedback on speaking practice. It does not predict or issue results from the official test.

How do people join? You invite them by email from your roster. They open the link, sign in or create an account, and they are in. Everyone keeps their own login and can practise on the web or in the Speakeroo app.

Can people under 13 join? Everyone you invite must be 13 or older. Speakeroo doesn't support accounts for children under 13, even with a parent's permission.

How do I know who practised? The roster shows each student’s last session and current streak. Assignments show who finished, and a Monday email sums up the week.

What can I see of my students’ practice? You see the work students hand in for assignments, the sessions they ask you to review and anything they choose to share, with recordings, transcripts and feedback, and you write your own. Their other practice stays private. Students are told this before they join.

How does billing work? One seat per person on your roster each month, you included, with a minimum of 2. Seats follow the roster as people join and leave, and the first subscription starts with a 7-day free trial.

What happens to a personal Plus subscription? It depends on where Plus was bought. A Plus subscription paid through Stripe on the web is paused while someone is in your class or team and resumes if they leave. A subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play is not paused automatically: that person cancels it in their store settings.

Can I use Speakeroo with therapy clients? Yes, for speaking practice between sessions. Speakeroo is not a health record: its scores are practice feedback, not clinical or diagnostic measures, and we don’t sign HIPAA business associate agreements, so practices covered by HIPAA can’t use it with patients’ health information. Every organization is covered by our Data Processing Addendum at speakeroo.app/dpa, and recordings are stored in the United States.
