Filters let you pick clips by dialect, accent, pace, voice, tone, delivery and speaking style, on the web and in the app. ### New - The home page shows how Speakeroo works in four animated steps, plus a grid of everything the app does, from daily plans to weekly challenges. - Get the app from your account menu. On a phone it opens your app store. ### Improvements - Shadowing, workplace English and Indonesian practice pages now link to other ways to practice. - Practice pages show live, animated steps instead of screenshots. - Softer colours across the app and the practice mode icons, and coloured sections keep their colour in dark mode. - After you check a pronunciation take, the button changes to View result so you can reopen your feedback without checking again. - The Issues, Weak words, Rhetoric and Delivery tabs stay in place while you scroll a session transcript. - On your plan, the button next to Start session now says Skip for now. - Breadcrumb links are underlined so you can tell they are clickable. - Practice modes take less room on phones, so you see more of them at once. - The level picker in setup is now a straight line with new icons for each speaking stage. - Team previews support keyboard scrolling with reduced motion. - Keyboard controls work consistently when choosing practice options. ### Fixes - The mobile app now explains when your email needs verifying or a sign-in link was already used. - Feedback on a recording no longer waits a long time when the first speech model is slow. - Small grey labels on the coloured cards on the home and practice pages are darker and easier to read. - Text on colorful sections and public navigation is easier to read. - Dark mode buttons use consistent colors. - You can scroll the speaking rubric with your keyboard. - The selected billing period is clearer in dark mode. - Team previews announce their screens as a list. ## November 2, 2026 ### Improvements - The buttons on the pricing page now match the rest of the app. - The pricing page shows monthly prices first. ### Fixes - A recording that fails to upload on a dropped connection now tries once more before asking you to try again. ## November 1, 2026 ### New - Exercise starts with drills picked for the issues found in your sessions. - 13 new drills for vowels, word stress, sentence rhythm, linking and intonation. ### Improvements - Each issue links straight to the drills that train it. - Pick your accent once and Exercise remembers it. - A tidier Exercise page that fits more on screen. ### Fixes - Sending feedback on a finished session no longer fails with an error. ## November 1, 2026 ### New - Read Aloud has hundreds of new passages at every level, from 30 seconds to over 3 minutes, including famous speeches and classic novels. ### Fixes - Some Speaking Test Read Aloud passages no longer stop your recording before you finish reading. - Sign-in now tells you when it cannot reach Speakeroo, so you know to check your connection and try again. - The creator discount price in the app now fits on the Plus card. - Sound contrasts and Sounds and endings samples now say every word clearly, with a pause after each one, in all three accents. - Choose a plan now shows placeholder cards while your recommended plans load, instead of an empty screen. ## October 31, 2026 ### New - You can read what's new from your account menu on the web and from Profile in the app. ### Improvements - Product updates now list every release, grouped into New, Improvements and Fixes. - Practice reels fill the phone screen, with Back and Start side by side - On a computer, arrow buttons step through practice reels - Practice reels on the website no longer show a favourite heart. Save favourites from the list view or the practice screen - The app no longer shows a Preferences line above practice reels ### Fixes - Learners who already have Plus no longer see a code box offering them a free week of Plus. - The Have a code? card no longer shows for Plus subscribers or members of a team. - A friend code typed in the card is now turned down if you are on a trial, so it no longer promises a free week you would not get. Creator codes still work. - Read Aloud cards no longer squash their title on small phones ## October 24, 2026 ### Improvements - When a session shows you have shaken off an issue, it now leads that session's Issues card with a green check. ## October 15, 2026 ### IELTS cue cards IELTS Part 2 topics in Impromptu now come as cue cards, with the "You should say" points one tap away.
